Wireless Application Protocol

Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) is an international standard for applications that use wireless communiation. Its most common application is to enable access to the Internet from a mobile phone or PDA.

WAP sites are written in or converted to Wireless Markup Language (WML) and accessed via the WAP browser.
